Why is B100 (100% biodiesel) a clean, No Emission Fuel?
The Carbon dioxide emitted when burning BD, started out in the immediate environment. That is to say that the CO2 was first absorbed by the plant matter that was milled into Veg. oil and distilled into alcohol. When these organic products of plant matter are burned the CO2 emitted is directly proportional to that first absorbed. A Cyclic event that has not added any more CO2 to the environment. Where as burning Fossil fuel adds to the environment CO2 from the Jurassic period which has been geosequestated by a multimillion year ice age. |
