What Modifications do I have to make to my diesel car? None!, Make no changes to your car.
The Diesel Engine was invented by Herr Diesel to run on a range of fuels such as Biodiesel. His Original idea, which failed, was to run the engine on Coal dust injected into the cylinder head. This failed, however the car worked well on a range of liquid fuels, and the first prototype was exhibited running on Peanut oil. Fossil diesel was later developed because of the low price of crude oil in the early part of the last century, and is not the ideal fuel as it naturally contains fine abrasive particulates, unlike vegetable oils. Fuels such as biodiesel can therefore extend the life of the engine, as it has no abrasive particulates, and greater lubricity. There is a general consensus amongst those that have made the leap that it's a good idea to keep a spare fuel filter in the glove box, just in case, while burning your first tank of BD as the BD will actually clean out your fuel lines and fuel tank of gunk that was created by fossil Diesel. This is not confirmed by all users. Check out the forum for more testimonials.
