Who are the Melbourne Biodiesel Club? |

The Melbourne Biodiesel Club, is a group of enthusiasts keen about making and burning biodiesel in our cars. This is done primarily out of concern for the environment and global climate change created by burning fossil fuel. We have a goal of becoming a Site Group (without prejudice) of the CERES Environment Park . This would give our group a neutral meeting space /club house and reactor plant. We would like to create an "open plan Kitchen" style plant building so that school children, and other interested parties could observe from a safe distance under a viewing gallery the reacting of biodiesel from waste vegetable oil. (environmentally concerned recycling). We are also interested in creating what Paul Martin would call "A University of Biodiesel", with accreditation for people/members who are educated in making biodiesel at the plant. ("A Chef de Biodiesel".) Ultimately our aim is to promote the use of biodiesel and thus to actively do something positive about global climate change. We can help others to not be a part of the ADDICTION TO PETRO OIL.
